The Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace is a missional community of believers from various congregations serving the greater Fredericksburg region by:

  1. Pursuing an expression of day and night prayer and worship in the spirit of the tabernacle of David as our central focus for the transformation of the greater Fredericksburg region and the nations. (THE PRAYER ROOM, PRAYERNET)
  2. Launching various city-wide ministries of training, mercy to the poor, outreach, and missions. (SOZO, JOSEPH PROJECT, JOSIAH PROJECT)
  3. Releasing an emerging generation of forerunners and revivalists who will proclaim Jesus in every sphere of culture and operate in supernatural demonstrations of the Kingdom of God. (BURN INTERSHIP, AWAKEN THE DAWN, SOZO)

At its core, the Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace will be raising up a day and night prayer room serving the greater Fredericksburg region and the nations. Revival and the transformation of society is always birthed and accompanied by sustained prayer. Imagine a constant prayer meeting in Fredericksburg asking the Lord to break in to the city and the nations of the earth with the power of the gospel. Imagine day and night worship always rising up from Fredericksburg as it does in heaven. Imagine the presence of God filling every church in the Fredericksburg region with greater power. Imagine a place where people can come at any time and encounter Jesus. Imagine signs and wonders accompanying the preaching of the gospel across our city. Imagine God releasing justice for the oppressed, the poor, the pre-born, and others, as we cry out day and night. This is the vision of the Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace. "And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily" (Luke 18:7-8).

The Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace is led by full-time and part-time, self-supporting staff who will serve as missionaries to the region. We will also partner with the churches of Fredericksburg to see day and night prayer established and a prayer movement birthed in our region and welcome local congregations and individuals to lead prayer meetings in our prayer room.

The Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace is also incubating and releasing various city-wide ministries to serve the churches and the larger community. For example, we will be coordinating multi-church, city wide prayer gatherings through PrayerNet. We are organizing training events for prayer, worship, and supernatural ministry in local churches and in meetings open to the public (we call this our "Sozo" ministry). We are launching a full-time internship training program for young revivalists (Burn Internship) and a ministry training program for those who are not called to a full-time program (The Josiah Project). We will host regional conferences like Awaken the Dawn to mobilize this generation for radical lifestyles of pursuing the face of Jesus. We will conduct outreach/engaging culture events into Washington DC and locally in Fredericksburg, even sending mission teams to the nations. In addition to the above, the Lord has clearly spoken to us to not forget the poor. So, we are working with the larger community to develop the Joseph Project, for providing resourcing and conducting outreaches to the poor and homeless in the region as a significant part of the Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace.

May the fire on the altar never go out...
