Student Life
Student Affairs is the pastoral wing of the College. Student Affairs serves to provoke, mentor, encourage, and steward the CSS students as they learn the core values of the FPF Missions Base. We contend for their hearts to be awakened and engaged with Jesus and for the release of every individual into practical ministry in the power of Holy Spirit. Our desire is to provide a campus setting where students participate in the activity of the Lord, both corporately and individually. Our community life is built around the day-and-night prayer room on the FPF Missions Base.A Spiritual Community
The Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace Missions Base seeks to be a community of believers who live out the two greatest commandments: to love God and to love one another (Matt. 22:37–39). CSS students are fully integrated into the community of the FPF Missions Base to help them live out these commandments daily. Students serve alongside full-time missionaries, learning in an atmosphere where deep intimacy with Jesus and a life of service to others are cultivated values.
Antioch Groups
These groups of students are led by CSS faculty and upper-classmen and meet once a week to help build and strengthen community. We have established home groups with the intent of providing more focused pastoral care, vital accountability, and to address the issues and challenges of daily life at CSS.
Practical Ministry and Outreach
The CSS and FPF are committed to outreach and ministry; Jesus, who ever lives to make intercession, is the great evangelist. Ministry and evangelism should be the natural overflow of spending hours in the prayer room in intercession and communion with Jesus. Throughout each semester, our faculty and students participate in a number of different outreach and ministry efforts. Evangelism efforts may include the College Campus Tours and Christmas and Thanksgiving outreaches in addition to our weekly evangelism efforts of feeding the homeless (with our 7 Loaves ministry), power evangelism (with our Sozo teams), and supporting the remnant prayer groups around Virginia with 24/7 Virginia. After completing one semester of CSS, students are invited to participate in ministry departments within the FPF Missions Base (e.g. The Children's Equipping Ministry, Teen Ministry, Media Department) or to participate on an FPF worship team.
