About the College of Sacred Scripture

The College of Sacred Scripture (CSS) is a full-time theological training center with the aim of raising up a new breed of students, a company of living martyrs possessed by Holy Spirit, consecrated to the glory of God whether by life or death, consumed with the knowledge of God, and burning with the affections of God. These students are sons and daughters first. They are also bond-slaves, faithful witnesses whose lives are so perfumed with the fragrance of the God-Man Christ Jesus, that wherever they go God is glorified and the world is called to consider Him. In this way, The College of Sacred Scripture intends to reach the ends of the earth with the gospel.

Students at the CSS incline their minds and hearts to the convergence of disciplined academic theological study and Sermon on the Mount lifestyles of prayer, fasting, and giving. The context for this convergence is a missions base committed to birthing and sustaining day-and-night intercession and worship in the city of Fredericksburg. This dynamic facilitates an understanding among the students that knowledge obtained in the classroom must necessarily translate to experiential revelation outside the classroom, and finally, that it must culminate in deepened love for Jesus if it is to be of any value to themselves or to the world.

Our Mandate
The primary mandate of the College of Sacred Scripture is to exalt and worship God in a manner commensurate with His perfect worthiness. Our mandate is to know, experience, and display the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” Our approach to theological education advocates that if the Word of God rules the minds of our students, and if revelation awakens their hearts, then they will see Jesus. And when they see Him, they will love Him. And when they love Him, the realms of darkness will rightly tremble.

The CSS seeks to equip and release men and women as intercessors, worship leaders, evangelists, teachers, pastors, prophets, and apostles who will lay down their lives to see revival within the Church and a harvest among the nations. The CSS feels charged to be a modern Antioch, to have prophets and teachers in place in the midst of a community that ministers to the Lord through fasting and prayer. We trust God will enable our students to love Jesus and others wholeheartedly as they keep the prayer room fire burning and as they go forth to preach the Word, heal the sick, raise the dead, serve the poor, plant houses of prayer, and proclaim the return of Jesus to the planet.
