Dear friends,

The emerging generation is in crisis while the church often sits by, offering only trips to amusement parks as a viable alternative to the pleasures of the this age. Our passion is to see an generation facinated with Jesus and gripped by their role in the drama that is unfolding on the earth.  Jesus is enough to satisfy a generation in crisis. There is no other answer than the knowledge of this Man. This is our top priority this year at Awaken the Dawn.

Awaken the Dawn 2009 is first about worship and intercession. We gather not to simply be entertained, but to encounter the presence of Jesus together and shift postmodern culture through corporate worship and prayer. This will be coupled with training for radical lifestyles of intimacy with Jesus and prayer, supernatural ministry, and obedience.

This year at Awaken the Dawn 2009 we will be commissioning a new prayer and worship movement in the DC region. Day and night prayer rooms are launching all around the nation. We will, specifically, be commissioning leaders of night and day prayer rooms on campuses and the launch of the new Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace. This movement that we have been talking about for the last five years at Awaken the Dawn is coming of age now. This year will mark a new beginning as ideas and dreams become steps of faith and action. It is time for another great awakening to be more than a dream.

Our venue this year is unique as well.  Awaken the Dawn 2009 is going to be part of a larger worship movement called the "Freedom Tour" (freedomtour.com).  Awaken the Dawn will meet in a huge tent (up to 5000 people).  This tent is travelling across the nation hosting worship and prayer events for revival in youth culture.  The Lord spoke the director of the freedom tour, Neil Blake, that this year signs and wonders would break out across the nation under his tent, and he is coming to Fredericksburg to join us for Awaken the Dawn!

Join us!

For revival,

David Bradshaw, Director, Awaken the Dawn
